"November is Coming!"
OCTOBER 9th, 2010
3:00 PM until 5:00 PM
The Chowan County Courthouse Green is the fantastic location where the 2010 Edenton Tea Party, headlined this year as "November is Coming", took place.
The Green in front of 1767 Edenton Court House , planned since the 1600s for use by citizens to peacefully assemble to air their grievances with government is an incredible place for this event.
Speakers are identified for our 2010 rally included here.
Garland Shepheard was Moderator for our 2010 event.
Pastor Tommy Tripp gave the invocation.
Kim Cotten-West led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Tristan Spencer, Jasmine Morrison and Zhane Drew led us in the National Anthem.
Winners of the essay contest for students read their winning essays.
The Reenactment of the 1774 Edenton Tea Party, which we are calling "Penelope's Rebellion", was the Finale to a great day of patriotic music and incredible speakers.
This is a view from the green towards the podium for the event.
